向 Jan Tschichold 致敬

在西方设计史上，似乎没有谁比Jan Tschichold对typography更专心。在1928年，仅仅26岁的Tschichold已发表为现代排版奠基的DieNeueTypographie。书中详尽说明了有关现代排版设计手法和理念。书中详尽说明了有关现代美术和设计的基本理念。强调清晰地传达资料讯息，讲求简约及效率。
在序言中述及Tschichold的一 段話「What I do today is not in the line of my often mentioned book die neue Typographie, since I am the most severe critic of the young Tschichold of 1925 – 8. A Chinese proverb says ‘In haste there is error.’ So many things in that primer are erroneous, because my experience is too smal话虽如此，今天，NeueTypographie内的理念和范例，虽然以前卫不在，但仍然颇为现代，不似八十年代的NewWave，没有谁再拿出来认新潮！


就是这本被称为现代typography圣经的书，可能没有中文版，我只读过安尚秀翻译的韩文版。
